Biographical Statement
I did my undergraduate work at Lake Forest College (a really small, liberal arts school) where I double-majored in English Literature and Communications and minored in Business. My decision to continue my academic career in the field of Writing Studies evolved out of my desire to mesh my majors while incorporating the skills that I learned working as a peer teacher and writing center tutor. I'm still narrowing down my area of specialization but I'm headed towards something that combines my three main interests: literacy, adult education and distance learning.
