Biographical Statement
I’m originally from San José, Costa Rica and a native Spanish speaker. Somewhere along my journey learning English I fell in love with it and decided to become an English major. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A in English with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Composition. I received my M.A. in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Research Interests
Translingualism, Spanglish, writing center administration, writing program administration, composition pedagogy, historiography.
