Center Graduate Students: Allison Kranek
Allison is a PhD candidate in English with a concentration in Writing Studies.
I was born and raised in Ohio, where I completed my undergraduate coursework at Denison University, a small liberal arts college. After graduating from Denison with a B.A. in English Literature, I worked in higher education administration at Denison before beginnign my graduate studies at the University of Illinois. Working in Denison's Writing Center ignited my interest in composition studies, and I look forward to continuing this work through both my research and my position as a consultant in the Writers Workshop at the University of Illinois. Given my liberal arts background, I enjoy interdisciplinary work, particularly the intersections between English, education, and psychology.
Writing program administration, institutional rhetoric, composition studies, and disability rhetoric.
