Kaia Simon is a Ph.D. student in the Center for Writing Studies in the English Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Biographical Statement

Kaia Simon earned a bachelor's degree in English Education from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. She taught literature, language, and composition to 8th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders over an eight-year career for the Eau Claire Area School District. Currently, she serves as Assistant Director for the Undergraduate Rhetoric Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign while she also studies and writes about literacy, gender, composition, and rhetoric.
