Abstract
Literacy skills are often seen in terms of how well students can perform in a class setting, often stigmatizing those who do not exhibit "mainstream" skills. Sibylle analyzes data from a first-year writing class to explore how the abilities and literacies of culturally diverse and often marginalized students can contribute to a productive learning environment.
