Abstract
This talk will discuss possibilities for creating interdisciplinary collaborations for the purposes of developing new technologies. Some of the questions to be addressed include: How can researchers from different disciplines contribute to the process of technology innovation? What institutional structures are necessary to augment the interdisciplinary practices of technology development? What are the ethics of interdisciplinary collaborative work? What does it mean to "take culture seriously" in the design and building of new technologies?e-consuming task--fairly, efficiently, and helpfully.
